Medina Law Offices, P.A. ("MLO," "we," "us," or "our")  |  Last Updated: August 13, 2026

Medina Law Offices, P.A. ("MLO," "we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of visitors, prospective clients, clients, and others who interact with our website and digital communications. This Privacy Policy explains the types of personal information we may collect, how we use and disclose that information, the steps we take to protect it, and the choices and rights that may be available to you.

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through https://www.medinalawoffices.com and any webpage maintained by MLO that links to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Site"), as well as information collected through web forms, email, text messaging, WhatsApp communications, social-media interactions, and other digital communications used in connection with our legal services (collectively, the "Services").

Important: Website Communications and Attorney-Client Relationship

Submitting information through the Site, email, text message, WhatsApp, or another communication channel does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is established only after MLO agrees to undertake the representation, typically through a written engagement agreement. Until then, please avoid sending Social Security numbers, complete financial account numbers, passwords, original medical records, or other highly sensitive information unless MLO specifically requests it through an appropriate channel.

You may choose not to provide certain information, but doing so may prevent us from evaluating your inquiry or providing requested services.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, MLO and service providers supporting the Site may automatically collect technical and usage information through cookies, logs, pixels, local storage, security tools, or similar technologies. These technologies may be used to operate and secure the Site, remember preferences, understand website traffic, identify technical problems, and measure the effectiveness of our communications or advertising where such features are enabled.

Information from Other Sources

Where permitted and appropriate, we may receive information from clients, co-counsel, referral sources, courts, government agencies, medical providers, insurers, witnesses, investigators, experts, public records, social-media platforms, opposing parties, vendors, and other persons or entities involved in or relevant to a legal matter. We may combine information from these sources with information you provide directly.

2. How We Use Personal Information

MLO may use personal information for the following purposes:

  • evaluate requests for legal assistance, determine whether MLO may be able to assist, and conduct conflicts checks;
  • communicate with prospective clients, clients, co-counsel, courts, agencies, insurers, medical providers, experts, witnesses, vendors, and others as appropriate;
  • provide legal representation, mediation services, case management, document preparation, filing, negotiation, litigation, immigration services, and other requested professional services;

  • comply with professional, ethical, legal, court, regulatory, tax, accounting, insurance, recordkeeping, and law-enforcement requirements; and
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal rights and claims and otherwise protect MLO, our clients, and others.

3. Legal Services, Confidentiality, and Privilege

MLO is a law firm and handles information relating to client representations in accordance with applicable professional responsibilities, legal obligations, court rules, and engagement agreements. Information relating to an existing client's representation may be subject to duties of confidentiality and, depending on the circumstances, attorney-client privilege or other legal protections.

This Privacy Policy does not expand, limit, or replace any professional duty that applies to MLO. If a provision of this Privacy Policy conflicts with a legal or ethical obligation governing an attorney-client relationship, the applicable law, professional rule, court order, or engagement agreement will control.

A communication from a prospective client does not automatically create an attorney-client relationship. Before MLO confirms representation, information submitted may be reviewed for intake and conflicts purposes and may be retained as reasonably necessary to document that review. Please do not send highly sensitive information through a public web form unless requested.

4. Email, Telephone, SMS, and WhatsApp Communications

If you provide a telephone number, email address, or use WhatsApp to contact MLO, we may use that channel to respond to your inquiry, schedule appointments, provide matter-related communications, request information, or send other communications consistent with your relationship with the firm and applicable law.

Where MLO sends marketing or promotional text messages, you may opt out of those marketing messages by replying STOP or by contacting us at info@medinalawoffices.com. Message and data rates may apply. Opting out of marketing messages will not prevent MLO from sending non-marketing communications that are reasonably necessary for an existing client relationship, requested service, security purpose, or legal obligation where permitted by law.

MLO does not sell mobile telephone numbers or SMS/WhatsApp opt-in consent information for monetary consideration, and we do not disclose mobile opt-in consent information to third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide limited information to communications vendors and other service providers that process messages on our behalf, subject to appropriate service-provider arrangements and applicable law.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to provide core functionality, maintain security, remember settings, understand how visitors use the Site, and improve performance. Some third-party services used to host, secure, analyze, or support the Site may set or read their own cookies or similar technologies.

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect Site functionality. Where required by applicable law, MLO will provide additional choices or consent mechanisms for non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

6. How We Disclose Personal Information

MLO may disclose personal information only as reasonably appropriate for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to the following categories of recipients:

  • Service Providers. Website hosting, cloud storage, cybersecurity, information technology, telephone, email, messaging, document management, practice management, payment processing, analytics, accounting, mailing, and other vendors that perform services for MLO.

  • Participants in a Legal Matter. Courts, administrative agencies, government entities, opposing parties and counsel, insurers, medical providers, experts, investigators, mediators, process servers, witnesses, lienholders, and others when reasonably necessary for the representation or service requested.
  • Professional Advisors and Insurers. Accountants, auditors, consultants, insurance carriers, and other professional advisors where appropriate.
  • Legal and Safety Disclosures. Government authorities, law enforcement, courts, or other persons when disclosure is required or permitted by law, subpoena, court order, professional rule, or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, systems, clients, or the public.
  • Business Transactions. Advisors or counterparties in connection with a potential or completed reorganization, merger, financing, sale, transfer, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable professional and confidentiality obligations.
  • With Your Direction or Consent. Other persons or entities when you direct us to make the disclosure, consent to it, or the disclosure is otherwise authorized in connection with the services you request.

7. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

MLO does not sell personal information in exchange for money. Like many websites, however, the Site may use third-party analytics, advertising, or social-media technologies that process online identifiers or activity information. Depending on the technology used and the law of your state, certain disclosures through those technologies may be characterized as a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising," even when no money is exchanged.

Where applicable law gives you a right to opt out of such processing and MLO engages in processing covered by that law, you may submit an opt-out request using the contact information below. MLO will honor legally required browser-based opt-out signals or other mechanisms when and to the extent applicable to the Site and MLO.

8. Information Security

MLO uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure, taking into account the nature of the information and the services involved. Nevertheless, no website, network, email system, wireless transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should use care when transmitting sensitive information electronically and follow any secure transmission instructions provided by MLO.

9. Retention of Personal Information

MLO retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including evaluating prospective matters, providing legal services, maintaining client files, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, satisfying professional or legal obligations, protecting legal rights, and meeting tax, insurance, accounting, or recordkeeping requirements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the nature and status of the legal matter.

When information is no longer reasonably needed, MLO may delete, destroy, anonymize, or deidentify it, subject to applicable legal, professional, litigation-hold, and record-retention requirements.

10. Your Choices

  • Marketing Emails. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using an unsubscribe mechanism included in the message, if available, or by emailing info@medinalawoffices.com.
  • Marketing Text Messages. You may opt out of marketing text messages by replying STOP or contacting MLO. You may still receive appropriate non-marketing communications as described above.
  • Cookies. You may manage cookies and similar technologies through your browser or device settings and through any cookie-choice tool MLO makes available on the Site.
  • Updating Information. You may contact MLO to request that we update or correct contact information we maintain about you, subject to identity verification and applicable legal or professional obligations.

11. Privacy Rights Under Applicable U.S. State Laws

Depending on where you reside, the nature of your interaction with MLO, and whether a particular privacy law applies to MLO or to the information at issue, you may have rights regarding your personal information. These rights may include the ability to:

  • confirm whether MLO processes personal information about you and request access to certain information;
  • request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • request deletion of certain personal information, subject to legal and professional exceptions;
  • obtain a portable copy of certain personal information where required by law;
  • opt out of certain processing that applicable law defines as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, subject to applicable limitations; and
  • appeal certain decisions regarding a privacy request where applicable law provides an appeal right.

These rights are not absolute. MLO may decline, limit, or modify a request when permitted or required by law, including when information must be maintained for legal services, conflicts records, professional responsibilities, litigation, legal claims, security, fraud prevention, recordkeeping, or other lawful purposes.

Certain information may also be exempt from consumer privacy laws because it is protected by attorney-client privilege, attorney work-product protections, professional confidentiality duties, or other legal exemptions.

To submit a privacy request, email info@medinalawoffices.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" or call +1 (305) 427-4892. Please describe the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for MLO to reasonably verify your identity and locate the relevant records. We may request additional verification where permitted by law. Authorized agents may be required to provide evidence of their authority to act on another person's behalf.

MLO will respond within the period required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right that applies to you. 12. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, social-media platforms, payment services, map services, messaging platforms, or other external services. MLO does not control the privacy or security practices of third parties, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected independently by those third parties. You should review their privacy notices before providing personal information.

13. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for adults seeking legal information or services and is not directed to children. MLO does not knowingly solicit personal information through the Site from children under 13. Information concerning minors may nevertheless be collected when reasonably necessary in connection with a legal matter and provided by a parent, guardian, client, or other authorized person, subject to applicable law and professional obligations.
